William and Eliza Membury were labourers who were given free passage by the New Zealand Company.
Their application for passage gave their address as Chard, Somerset.
They sailed on the Lord William Bentinck, which left Gravesend on 08 January 1841,
arriving at Port Nicholson, Wellington, with their 6 children on 24 May 1841.
